2At the Udhovda deposit in Pruzhany district of Brest region ALC "AGROSEMPRODUCT" extracts peat-sapropel mixture (substrate) consisting of low-lying peat of mainly grass group and sapropel of organic type in the ratio 2:1 respectively.

Cultivation of conifer seedlings

The extracted peat-sapropel mixture (substrate) is formed into bunches for natural drying, after which it can be used for the preparation of ground mixtures designed for growing in forestry farms of Belarus planting material of shrubs and trees, including seedlings of conifers.

In the period from August 2020 to December 2022, State Research Institution "Forest Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus" conducted researches on the technology of obtaining and applying peat-sapropel substrate for growing forest planting material. The results of the research showed high efficiency of the mixture application.

The research was headed by Dr. of Agricultural Sciences, Associate Professor, Professor Vladimir Vasilievich Kopytkov. With his direct participation TU BY 400070994.009-2022 "Organomineral substrate "Fertiriz" for growing seedlings of forest species" was developed and registered.

Greenhouse with seedlings of conifers
The peat-sapropel mixture (substrate) is saturated with humic substances and amino acids, which ensure the survival rate, growth and development of seedlings. Due to the low ash content, the optimal ratio of oxygen and hydrogen in the substrate is ensured. Lowland peat and sapropel contain humic acids of different composition, which by forming organic-mineral complexes fix nitrogen and potassium in the exchangeable form reducing their mobility, and phosphorus translates into easily extractable by plants form. When using peat-sapropel mixture (substrate) nutrients are assimilated to 86-90%.

In 2021, the first experimental batches of products were supplied to State Forestry Institution "Brest Forestry" and State experimental forestry institution "Kobrin Experimental Forestry" .
Seedlings of conifers
The peat-sapropel mixture (substrate) is environmentally friendly and effective product prolonged action and is a balanced system of organic components, contains macro-and micronutrients, active enzymes, vitamins and physiologically active substances.
